the right to a speedy trial - While this is not a trial (but it sure seems like it), shouldn't Kavanaugh be granted the same "speedy" trial as in all other court cases? With the 6th Amendment, an accuser cannot delay, delay, delay.

Confirmation Hearing is not a Trial, however:
While the Kavanaugh Confirmation hearing is not a trial, the Democrats with their accuser (Christine Blasey Ford) of like 35 years ago have virtually made this confirmation hearing like a trial (actually circus.).

Hence, since the Democrats have kinda turned the confirmation hearing into something of a trial, Kavanaugh should get a "speedy" trial with only in regards to this accuser Christine Blasey Ford of 35 years ago.

NOTE: Obama's Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland, was to go before a Confirmation Hearing....which is not like a criminal trial

Hence, Merrick Garland, would not be entitled to a speedy trial since a Supreme Court Confirmation Hearing is not a trial; it's basically a job interview.
